This is truly an awe-inspiring shot. You've captured the stonework and the forlorn decay perfectly!

It feels as if there should be a slow dirge playing in the background.

It's in Baltimore County, in MD. I drove past it the other day and I was just blown away. Two days later, I came back with the Nikon ;)

Oh my gosh this makes me want to go in the building. *-*

Do you know what they used to make there?

It was gorgeous in there. I've no idea what was manufactured, but there were loads of rooms, both large and very small. This place is an absolute gem!

Woooow. <3 Any old machinery left, papers, anything? I love finding those things. It's like life just left~

I didn't see machinery, but there were many electrical bits and bobs there: wires, outlets, switch plates, etc. There were also hunks of wall strewn all over the structure, piled in corners and heaped together in mounds. I would have loved to come across old equipment in there!

Ooooooh. Sounds like a really good find.

I found an abandoned electrical factory recently (well, I knew it was there, I just explored it) and although I couldn't get inside, it was really interesting. It had Ivy growing up the sides and a garage door with big enough dents for me to stick a camera under.

The ivy that overtakes a structure is absolutely gorgeous, isn't it? How did your photos turn out?

It really is. Ivy is like, you know how if you stay at a job long enough you get promoted? It's like God saying "You rock because you were here for so long, now have some cool wall-climbing leaves." My friend's house has ivy on it and I'm so jealous. I wish there was ivy climbing up my house. *3*

The ones taken under the garage door, not well. Nothing came up, just blackness. So I turned on the flash and got either a branch or some kind of plant growing out of the asphalt in there, but it was out of focus and still mostly black. I think next time I go, I need to take a flash light and not be so afraid Slenderman will come out from under that garage door and kill me.

I'm with you on the ivy :) It's a beautiful, hearty plant and adds much that is pleasing to the eye to an otherwise underwhelming object.

Don't fear the Slenderman! Overcome and photograph the heck out of that place. The plant emerging from the asphalt sounds very cool; you should definitely return.
